Pine Hollow Equestrian

Equine Therapy

At Pine Hollow, we believe horses can offer something really special for neurodivergent children and young people. The combination of movement, routine, clear communication and time spent outdoors can create a calm and engaging environment where participants can build confidence, develop independence and experience success at their own pace.

Caring for and working with a horse also provides opportunities to develop communication, focus, coordination and a strong sense of connection with another living being.

We are committed to creating a neurodiversity-inclusive equestrian environment, supported by trained coaches and a dedicated volunteer team. Our programmes can provide both recreational and therapeutic benefits, with an emphasis on the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Equine Therapy

Equine therapy programmes provide individuals with opportunities to build strength, confidence, and connection through meaningful interaction with horses. These experiences gently support individuals with sensory processing, emotional regulation and biomechional development.

Horses provide meaningful hands-on experience that support all aspects of a person's hauora. We aim to encourage individuals to move at their own pace, choose activities that feel comfortable, achievable for meaningful and purposeful participation.

We are committed to keeping a client centered approach that builds upon each person's strengths ensuring their time with horses supports independence, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement.
